Industrial Shop Floors

Industrial Floor Coatings for Factories, Warehouses & Manufacturing Facilities

Industrial concrete fails from the top down. Forklift traffic abrades the surface into dust, chemical spills etch and weaken it, and impact from pallets, steel, and dropped parts opens spalls and cracks that only get worse. Untreated, that means constant dusting on product and equipment, trip hazards on the floor, and a facility that's harder to keep clean and harder to keep safe.

J&P Coatings installs Duralast® Polyaspartic industrial floor coatings engineered for manufacturing environments across Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio. The system is 5X stronger than epoxy, chemically resistant, fast-curing to minimize production downtime, and finished to support your plant's safety program — including anti-slip texture and visible safety-zone marking.

Engineered for Industrial Abuse

  • Extreme durability for forklift traffic — a dense, abrasion-resistant surface that handles forklifts, pallet jacks, and steel-wheeled carts without wearing through.
  • Chemical resistance — resists oils, hydraulic fluid, solvents, coolants, and process chemicals that destroy bare concrete and soften standard epoxy.
  • Anti-slip safety compliance — texture and grip-additive options help your facility meet OSHA walking-working surface requirements (29 CFR 1910.22) in wet and oily zones.
  • Visible line marking capability — safety aisles, forklift lanes, staging zones, and 5S markings can be integrated directly into the coating system, sealed under the topcoat so they don’t wear off like paint or tape.
  • Dust-proofing & easy maintenance — seals the slab so concrete dust stops contaminating product and equipment; cleanup is a sweep and a wet mop.
  • Fast cure, minimal downtime — polyaspartic cures in hours, not days, so sections of the plant can be coated in phases without halting production.

Safety Built Into the Floor

A coated industrial floor isn’t just tougher — it’s safer. Anti-slip aggregate can be tuned by zone, with aggressive grip in wash-down and oil-exposure areas and a smoother finish in office-adjacent corridors. Demarcation lines for pedestrian aisles, forklift routes, and staging areas are applied as part of the coating build and locked under the clear topcoat, so your safety markings stay crisp through years of traffic instead of scrubbing off in months.

How We Install With Minimal Disruption

Every project starts with diamond grinding (vacuum-shrouded for dust control), repair of cracks and spalls, then a self-priming 100% solids polyurea basecoat and UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat. For operating facilities, we phase the work by zone — nights, weekends, or scheduled line shutdowns — so production keeps moving while the floor gets rebuilt.
